Efren S. Erese created this dramatic dimensional map of the
Hawaiian Islands as an original oil painting on canvas. The map depicts the exact placement of the islands in relationship to each
other, and also illustrates each island's major roads.
Besides the compass rose and the elaborate art nouveau border, the map is
embellished with a superbly rendered 19th century sailing ship.
The Port Jackson was a New Zealand clipper ship that transported wool
to the U.S. and England, and it almost certainly stopped in Hawaii while en route to San Francisco.
