This facsimile of an historic map of the Sandwich Islands was first published in Manly Hopkins' book about the islands in 1862.

The map details the entire chain of islands and the insert offers a charting of the west coast of North America and a large portion of the Pacific Rim.

Hopkins was the Hawaiian Consul-General but he is probably best known as the father of the famous English poet, Gerald Manley Hopkins.
