This superior reproduction of the original copperplate entitled "A Map showing the communication of the Lakes and the Rivers between Lake Superior and Slave Lake in North America" was published in the "Gentleman's Magazine" circa 1790. This publication which had a one hundred and twenty seven year following, was a major source of topical news for its' readership.
