This finely detailed reproduction map of a section of the United States from Kentucky to Vermont is an early historically important map originally published only eleven years after hostilities ended between the American colonies and England, January 20, 1783; the United States territory is designated by original green hand colouring.

It is also interesting to note that this important map is embellished with a Sketch of the Upper Parts to shew (show)the Remainder of the Lakes.
