"Provinces of New York and New Jersey..." Published by Sayer and Bennett, 1776 This superb reproduction of the original copper plate engraving of "Provinces of New York and New Jersey, with part of Pensilvania and the Province of Quebec" was originally published by Robert Sayer and John Bennett in 1776, and is a fine example of mid-18th mapmaking. Drawn by Major Holland and engraved by Thomas Jefferys, this historical map depicts the mapped geography according to observations made by Mr. Burnett of New York in 1728.
