"California and Mexico"

Published by De Fer, 1720

This beautifully hand-colored map of California and Mexico was inspired by the same map published by de Fer in 1705.

Both maps were taken from research done by Father Kino (Chino) which proved that Baja, California is a peninsula and not an island. Prior to that, Baja had been mapped as an island for over one hundred years.
