"California, Utah, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona"
Published by Johnson, 1865/66
Published at the end of the Civil War, this map completes the charting of the rapid changes to the West that occurred during that turbulent era. Lands once populated by Native Americans have been settled, and the borders of the states and territories have been clarified. Through these years, the last vestiges of the Wild West have been increasingly subdued.
This reproduction of Johnson's seventh state map was published in New York in 1865 for Johnson's New Illustrated Family Atlas.
