Product description:

Although tourism is now Hawaii's largest industry, agriculture is still an important part of the state's economic mix, and sugar remains the second largest single crop grown. In addition to the sugar itself, molasses and electricity are also produced.

Today, sugarcane is grown on about 70,000 acres on Kauai and Maui, yielding some 340,000 tons of raw sugar, and providing employment for many thousands.

Here we have some of those ubiquitous cane fields, spreading out beneath the towering West Maui Mountains and basking in the tropical sun.

The view has been captured through the brushstrokes of talented artist Richard Fields.

Lahaina Printsellers custom-prints this image on waterproof canvas in our Lahaina studio using only the finest archival inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade or shift under normal circumstances for over 100 years.
