Product description:

Taro is one of the staple foods of the Hawaiian culture, and the entire taro plant may be eaten. The root can be pounded into poi or made into chips, while the leaves are steamed and the stems cooked with meat.

Keanae is legendary for its taro farming, which has been passed down through generations of families. Today, the Keanae-Wailua area remains one of the major commercial wetland taro farming regions in the Hawaiian Islands.

Here, artist Jerome Fisher gives an "up-close and personal" look at the taro ponds of Keanae.

Lahaina Printsellers custom-prints this image on waterproof canvas in our Lahaina studio using only the finest archival inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade or shift under normal circumstances for over 100 years.
