Sea turtles are one of the Earth's most ancient creatures, with a fossil record going back some 150 million years. They're found in warm and temperate waters throughout the world, migrating hundreds of miles between nesting and feeding grounds. Most marine turtles live approximately 15 to 20 years and may live to be 80 years old, but they're currently threatened with capture, harvesting of eggs, destruction of nesting beaches, ocean pollution, oil spills, and entanglement in fishing and shrimp nets. We need to start taking better care of our Earth and all of her citizens! Here, recorded by the underwater camera of Randy Miller, one of Hawaii's favorite residents gets ready for his close-up.
