Product description:

The Moorish idol is a striking-looking fish. It's thin, deeper than it is long, and has a protruding, beaklike mouth and an elongated dorsal fin.

The distinctive color pattern includes an orange saddle on the upper jaw, alternating black and yellow bars on the high oval body, white dorsal and black tail.

Common in Hawaii, snorkelers and divers see it most often on the reef, as it swims alone or in groups. Although the Moorish idol shape reminds folks of the familiar freshwater angelfish they have in their home aquarium, the two are not related.

In this view, photographer Randy Miller has immortalized an idol in all its colorful glory.

Lahaina Printsellers custom-prints this image on waterproof canvas in our Lahaina studio using only the finest archival inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade or shift under normal circumstances for over 100 years.
