This detailed map of Hawaii was originally published in 1920 by C.S. Hammond and Co. of New York for their Handy Atlas of the World. It shows county seats and railroads, as well as steamship lines and undersea telegraph cables.
A table in the upper right corner lists: "Inter-island Distances by Sea in Sea Miles."
The inset is entitled "The Pacific Ocean, Showing Distances between Hawaii and Principal Ports."
We custom-print this facsimile map on waterproof canvas in our Lahaina studio using the finest archival inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade or shift under normal circumstances for over 100 years. Modern printing techniques allow us to improve and enhance the historical subject matter, even as we're careful to preserve and maintain its historical and artistic integrity.
