Product description:

Throughout history, rainbows have been mentioned in legend and mythology, and they have significance in many varied religions and philosophies as well. In addition, they have a strong presence in art, literature and music.

Scientifically, a rainbow is simply a colored arc that appears in the sky when the sun shines onto droplets of moisture in the Earth's atmosphere. While the scientific explanation may be rather basic, the beauty created by the phenomenon is really quite extraordinary.

A rainbow is much like a sunrise or sunset - -as many times as you've seen one, you probably still glance skyward and and take a moment to appreciate each new offering!

This view is of the giant "L" placed on the mountain by the students at the Lahainaluna School in Maui, which is the oldest American school west of the Rockies.

The striking scene was captured by the lens of talented photographer Jake Skoda.

Lahaina Printsellers custom-prints this image on waterproof canvas in our Lahaina studio using only the finest archival inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade or shift under normal circumstances for over 100 years.
