"Topographic Map of the Island of Lanai, Maui County, Hawaii"

Published by United States Government, 1925

Printed by Lahaina Printsellers, Ltd., 2016

This reproduction of the original full-color lithograph of the U. S. Geological Survey of Lanai was published in 1925. Surveyed in 1923 under the partial control of both the U. S. Coast and Geodetic Survey and the Hawaiian Territorial Survey, this map gives very detailed topographical information for the Island of Lanai.

A.O. Burkland was the Topographic engineer in charge, with the topography being drawn by Kostka Mudd, J.F. McCook and H.B. Smith.

A small inset of the eight major Hawaiian Islands completes the map.

We custom-print this facsimile map on waterproof canvas in our Lahaina studio using the finest archival inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade or shift under normal circumstances for over 100 years. Modern printing techniques allow us to improve and enhance the historical subject matter, even as we're careful to preserve and maintain its historical and artistic integrity.
