"Lahaina, Maui"

Published by United States Government, 1925

Printed by Lahaina Printsellers, Ltd., 2016

This reproduction of the original lithograph of the U. S. Geological Survey of West Maui was published in 1925. Surveyed in 1922-23 under the partial control of both the U. S. Coast and Geodetic Survey and the Hawaiian Territorial Survey, this map gives very detailed topographical information for what it refers to as the "Lahaina Quadrangle."

At the time, Wallace R. Farrington was Governor of the Territory of Hawaii, while C.T. Bailey was Commisioner of Public Lands.

The topography for the map was drawn by R.R. Monbeck, T.F. Murphy and J.F. McCook.

We custom-print this facsimile map on waterproof canvas in our Lahaina studio using the finest archival inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade or shift under normal circumstances for over 100 years. Modern printing techniques allow us to improve and enhance the historical subject matter, even as we're careful to preserve and maintain its historical and artistic integrity.
