"North Pacific Ocean, Hawaiian Islands Area, Northern Part"

Published by U.S. Hydrographic Survey, 1938

Printed by Lahaina Printsellers, Ltd., 2016

This superior reproduction of an early charting of the waters of the Hawaiian islands of Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe and Maui was originally published for the United States Hydrographic Survey in 1938.

This most interesting map indicates the depth of the ocean in fathoms and the elevations of points of interest on each island in feet. This particular chart represents the best data available on Hawaiian ocean depths at the brink of World War II.

We custom-print this facsimile map on waterproof canvas in our Lahaina studio using the finest archival inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade or shift under normal circumstances for over 100 years. Modern printing techniques allow us to improve and enhance the historical subject matter, even as we're careful to preserve and maintain its historical and artistic integrity.
