Published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey, 1916
Printed by Lahaina Printsellers, Ltd., 2016
This superb reproduction of the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey map of Kauai's Hanapepe Bay was first published under the authority of E. Lester Jones, Director, in Washington, D.C. in February 1910, and was subsequently reissued in August 1916. The map shows buoys and light beacons, as well as tides and depths in the bay.
It's interesting to note that the original selling price, which is printed in the upper left corner, was just twenty-five cents!
We custom-print this facsimile map on waterproof canvas in our Lahaina studio using the finest archival inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade or shift under normal circumstances for over 100 years.
