Product description:

On Maui, south of Hana and east of Kaupo, is the small village of Kipahulu. Although the lowlands were once heavily populated, with hundreds of farm sites and agricultural areas, the population declined as the whaling industry came to Lahaina in the 1880s, and the people moved westward.

The Kipahulu district of the Haleakala State Park is where Oheo Gulch, commonly known as the Seven Pools, is located. Nearby, on the grounds of Palapala Ho'omau Church is the grave of famed aviator Charles Lindbergh.

In this view of the rugged area, a bright red i'iwi bird surveys the lush vista below. The scene has been captured by the brush of talented artist Richard Fields.

Lahaina Printsellers custom-prints this image on waterproof canvas in our Lahaina studio using only the finest archival inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade or shift under normal circumstances for over 100 years.
