Product description:

Located on Waipoli Road above Kula, on the western slope of Haleakala, Polipoli Spring State Recreation Area has an elevation of 6,200 feet and includes almost ten acres of planned forest. Interstingly, this whole area was extensively planted by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, as part of a Depression era work program.

Remote and beautiful, this cool and misty park provides invigorating mountain hikes through forests of cypress, ash, eucalyptus, sequoia, redwood, cedar, and pine trees.

The area also offers spectacular views of Maui, as well as the neighboring islands of Lanai and Kahoolawe.

Here, artist Richard Fields captures the serene and tranquil mood of the park, showcasing a native pueo (Hawaiian owl) as it soars aloft, surveying its domain.

Lahaina Printsellers custom-prints this image on waterproof canvas in our Lahaina studio using only the finest archival inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade or shift under normal circumstances for over 100 years.
