"The Hawaiian Islands"

Published by Bormay & Co., 1899

Printed by Lahaina Printsellers, Ltd., 2016

This superb reproduction of an original wood block engraving entitled "The Hawaiian Islands" was first published in 1899 by Bormay & Co. of New York and then widely distributed in Harper's Weekly magazine.

Of special interest here are the sailing distances to many ports, including Manila, Hong Kong, Sitka, Vancouver, San Francisco, San Diego, Acapulco and the Faulkland Islands.

The map is completed by a detailed inset of the island of Maui.

We custom-print this facsimile map on waterproof canvas in our Lahaina studio using the finest archival inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade or shift under normal circumstances for over 100 years. Modern printing techniques allow us to improve and enhance the historical subject matter, even as we're careful to preserve and maintain its historical and artistic integrity.
