This reproduction of "Map of the Island of Porto-Rico" (sic) was originally published in San Juan in 1905, to accompany the annual report of the Bureau of Public Works of Porto-Rico for the fiscal year 1904-1905.
The map includes two separate legends. One is named "General Plan of Insular Roads", while the other is labeled "References" and shows symbols representing principal cities, towns, villages, railroads, boundaries and the lighthouse.
We custom-print this facsimile map on waterproof canvas in our Lahaina studio using the finest archival inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade or shift under normal circumstances for over 100 years. Modern printing techniques allow us to improve and enhance the historical subject matter, even as we're careful to preserve and maintain its historical and artistic integrity.
