"Palestine or the Holy Land, or the Land of Canaan"

Published by Jeremiah Greenleaf, 1840

Printed by Lahaina Printsellers, Ltd., 2016

This reproduction of the hand-colored engraving of "Palestine or the Holy Land, Or the Land of Canaan" was originally published in Vermont in 1840 by Jeremiah Greenleaf for A New Universal Atlas, which was a reissue of the 1836 David Burr edition.

The map delineates political boundaries by color, and details of cities, villages, rivers and lakes are shown. Religious and battle sites are also noted, as is a list of the region's various names throughout history.

An inset of Jerusalem completes the map.

We custom-print this facsimile map on waterproof canvas in our Lahaina studio using the finest archival inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade or shift under normal circumstances for over 100 years. Modern printing techniques allow us to improve and enhance the historical subject matter, even as we're careful to preserve and maintain its historical and artistic integrity.
