Product description:

Although the anthurium plant was first discovered in Colombia and is not native to Hawaii, in the eyes of many people, it does represent the Aloha State.

The name "anthurium" comes from the Greek, and translates to "tail flower." A popular foliage plant, the distinctive heart-shaped red flower is really a modified waxy leaf. The protruding yellow spike is where the actual tiny flowers grow.

Also known as "flamingo flower", "boy flower", "painted tongue" and "painter's palette", the exotic plant has come to represent hospitality, and it's now iconic to the Hawaiian Islands.

In this image, talented artist Efren Erese shines his spotlight on a field of vibrant red anthuriums.

Lahaina Printsellers custom-prints this image on waterproof canvas in our Lahaina studio using only the finest archival inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade or shift under normal circumstances for over 100 years.
