"Mexico and Guatimala"

Published by McDonald, 1845

This superb reproduction of the original, antique, steelplate engraving entitled, "Mexico & Guatimala", was first published in 1845 by Donald McDonald.

Distinctively hand-colored with a yellow "Republic of Texas," this facsimile map shows the Mexican state borders, cities, towns, rivers, lakes, and mountainous regions as they existed three years prior to the signing of the "Treaty of Guadalupe-Hildago" in 1848, which would cede California to the United States.
