"Vancouver Island"

Published by Murray/Brown, 1869

This superb reproduction of an original copperplate engraving was first published in 1869 by J. Murray of London. This map shows details of Vancouver Island and part of British Columbia.

Vancouver Island was proclaimed a British colony in 1849. In 1866 a colony under the name of British Columbia was united with the colony of Vancouver Island. Drawn by R. Brown and engraved by Edward Weller this fine engraving produces a wonderfully detailed image of Vancouver Island.
