This superb reproduction of an original map entitled, "Bermuda Islands", was first published by George F. Cram and Co. of Chicago in 1900 for their Unrivaled Atlas of the World.
Colored by parishes, it shows towns, maritime routes, ports, bays, sounds, bridges, and land routes. Also labeled are telegraph sites and some landmarks, such as the Governor's house.
The delicate, yet vivid, color was produced by the use of separate wax engraved plates.
We custom-print this facsimile map on waterproof canvas in our Lahaina studio using the finest archival inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade or shift under normal circumstances for over 100 years. Modern printing techniques allow us to improve and enhance the historical subject matter, even as we're careful to preserve and maintain its historical and artistic integrity.
