"A Map of the Kingdom of Poland"

Published by James Wyld, 1837

This beautiful engraving of Poland was published by James Wyld in London, circa 1837. Showing both the ancient and "current" lands claimed by Poland, this detailed map includes population numbers old and new as well as according to religious persuasion, in each case broken down by geographical territory. Included as well is a small block plan of Warszawa (Warsaw) showing the Vistula River flowing through the city.

The fine and extraordinary detail on this map makes it an excellent study for genealogical research.
