"Nova Virginiae Tabula"

Published by Hondius, 1636

Henricus Hondius, the 17th century master cartographer, originally created this magnificent mapping of Virginia in full, rich color in 1636.

Particularly interesting in this splendid reproduction is the inset view of Powhatan's lodge. The area depicted on the map as the Chesapeake Bay includes much of present-day Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C.

Nothing captures the intricacy of these early Antique Maps, better than the Giclée process. Lahaina Printsellers Ltd. has scoured the corners of the United States and built a collection of Antique Maps pertaining to The Eastern United States. This is one of many City Maps. Every Vintage Antique Map is carefully scanned and reproduced on Premium Cotton Canvas, and printed in such a way, as to preserve the integrity of the Map's original design.  From a Bird's Eye view to detailed City plans, everything you need is here.
